Celebrating Community Through Art: Hannah Gibson’s Mural for Crisis in Ealing Broadway

Shoppers in Ealing Broadway can now enjoy a vibrant new mural created by local artist Hannah Gibson, commissioned by the homelessness charity Crisis. The artwork, which brightens up the Crisis charity shop's walls, is a colourful tribute to the local community and the diverse culture of Ealing.

Hannah, who lives in the area, drew her inspiration from the streets and green spaces she knows so well. “The mural for Crisis was inspired by Ealing and its local community,” she explains. “Working with Crisis and the team, we collaborated with ideas to create the perfect mural representing Ealing and its people. It was super cool to see it as a finalised design and to create it on a large scale to celebrate the area I have grown up in!”

The mural also marks a special merchandise collaboration between Hannah and Crisis, with limited-edition items now available in the Ealing shop. “It’s awesome to see the merchandise collaboration we have created together, especially supporting a cause as important as Crisis,” says Hannah. “I even have a mug that I use all the time myself!”

Reflecting on what makes Ealing so special to her, Hannah adds, “There are lots of places in Ealing that can give me inspiration, but Haven Green or Walpole Park are probably my favourites. I love people watching and seeing all of the different cultures and community that make up Ealing!”

Crisis is the national charity for people experiencing homelessness. Their Ealing shop offers a wide range of high-quality, second-hand items - from vintage clothing to home décor - with all proceeds supporting the charity’s mission to end homelessness for good.
