Ealing Studios to Sponsor Comedy Award at Ealing Film Festival 2025

The Ealing Film Festival is set to return this October, and it’s bigger - and funnier -than ever. In a landmark move, the world-renowned Ealing Studios has announced it will sponsor the Comedy Award at this year’s festival, firmly cementing the event’s growing national and international reputation.
“Ealing Studios, the home of classic British comedy and film, is proud to sponsor the Ealing Film Festival Comedy Award 2025,”
said Charlie Fremantle, Ealing Studios Manager.
The support from the legendary studios, known for producing some of Britain’s most iconic comedies, is a fitting collaboration for a festival that celebrates both established and emerging filmmakers.
Festival co-founder Annemarie Flanagan said the team was “delighted” to have Ealing Studios on board:
“We want to encourage more comedy - it’s needed more than ever these days - and we urge all filmmakers to submit.”

Festival patron Mel Giedroyc, comedian and presenter, echoed the excitement:
“How thrilling that Ealing Studios, the cradle of so many iconic British films, should be sponsoring the magnificent Ealing Film Festival! It's a match truly made in celluloid heaven.”
Now in its fifth year, the Ealing Film Festival continues to attract talent from around the globe. So far, over 250 films from 36 countries have been submitted for the 2025 programme - and with three months still to go until the deadline, the number is expected to climb.
