Ealing’s Cherry Healey Joins the Conversation on Breaking the Menopause Taboo

Awareness around menopause is growing - and Ealing’s own Cherry Healey is helping lead the charge. The popular TV presenter has partnered with Replens™, the number one GP-recommended vaginal moisturiser brand, to encourage more open conversations about menopause and the symptoms that come with it.

A new study commissioned by Replens™ reveals that 76% of women feel more knowledgeable about menopause today, with millennial women sparking many of the vital conversations that are changing how society views this life stage. Over half of women surveyed believe that younger generations are better prepared for menopause than previous ones, and 63% agree that the stigma around it has lessened over the past decade.

Despite this progress, certain symptoms like vaginal dryness remain difficult to talk about openly. Only 29% of women feel comfortable discussing it, even though it affects a significant number of those going through menopause. Replens™ and Cherry Healey are working together to tackle this lingering taboo, offering both education and effective solutions.

Cherry, who calls Ealing home, shared:

"Menopause is no longer something women should shy away from. We’re seeing women — especially millennials like myself — feel more empowered and better prepared to manage their symptoms. But when it comes to vaginal dryness, there’s still hesitation. Replens™ aims to break this taboo and help women feel supported during this natural life stage."

With over half of women getting their menopause information from friends, family, and even social media, it’s clear that conversation is key. Initiatives like this are making a real difference in helping women feel more confident, better informed, and supported as they navigate menopause.
