My Journey into Semi-Permanent Makeup and Becoming a PhiBrows Artist

Art, design and beauty have always been central to my life. Growing up in Hong Kong, I was immersed in creative expression from a young age - studying art and eventually working in the fashion industry for globally renowned brands like Ralph Lauren. That experience trained my eye for detail and refined my appreciation for aesthetics, which laid the foundation for everything I do today.

My journey into semi-permanent makeup began when a friend introduced me to microblading. I was fascinated by the technique - the way it could create such lifelike, natural-looking brows. It felt like the perfect blend of artistry and precision, and I knew I had to explore it further. Determined to learn from the best, I enrolled at PhiAcademy, one of the most prestigious microblading schools in the world.

I trained under PhiBrows UK Master Laura C., and spent six months practicing intensively to master the craft. In 2018, I proudly became a certified PhiBrows Artist - and that moment marked the beginning of a deeply fulfilling career in semi-permanent makeup.

What I love most about this work is the ability to help people feel confident - whether it’s saving them time in their daily routines or restoring brows for someone who has experienced hair loss. I’m incredibly grateful to have found my passion, and even more so that I get to make a difference in people’s lives every day.

What Makes Find Your Brows Different

At Find Your Brows, I believe that semi-permanent makeup should never be one-size-fits-all. Every face is unique, and that’s why every treatment I offer is tailored to the individual. I take the time to listen carefully to what each client wants, assess their facial features, and create a design that looks natural and enhances their beauty - not masks it.

My goal is always the same: to deliver results that are soft, subtle, and perfectly suited to the client’s natural features. It’s not just about achieving symmetry - it’s about creating harmony.

A Transformation That Changed Everything

In the beginning, I simply enjoyed helping people enhance their appearance. But everything shifted the day a client with Alopecia came to see me. She had lost all her eyebrow hair and was looking for a way to feel like herself again. After I completed her treatment, she burst into tears and hugged me tightly, thanking me for giving her back something she had lost.

That moment changed how I saw my work. I realised it was about so much more than beauty - it was about restoring confidence, dignity and identity. Since then, I’ve committed myself even more to continuous learning, taking advanced courses to ensure I’m always offering the best results possible.

Over the years, I’ve worked with clients dealing with hair loss from illness, ageing and other medical conditions. Every transformation is personal and deeply meaningful. Seeing the joy on a client’s face when they see their new brows for the first time is something I’ll never take for granted.

My Philosophy on Natural Beauty

My approach to semi-permanent makeup is rooted in one core belief: enhancing beauty should never look artificial. I’m passionate about creating results that are soft, natural, and balanced. It’s not about changing how someone looks - it’s about bringing out the best version of who they already are.

Semi-permanent makeup should also make life easier. It’s a time-saver, it’s stress-free, and it gives people the confidence to embrace every moment - whether they’re at the gym, on holiday, in a meeting, or getting ready for a special occasion. My aim is to help people feel effortlessly beautiful and confident every day.

What to Expect at Your First Appointment

When a new client comes in, I start with an in-depth consultation. I listen carefully to their preferences, concerns and lifestyle. I always encourage clients to bring inspiration photos - it helps us align on their desired look and sets a clear foundation for the design process.

Because no two faces are alike, I take a highly personalised approach. Every detail is customised to suit the client’s bone structure, skin tone, and individual features. My goal is to ensure that each person walks away feeling comfortable, confident and genuinely excited about their transformation.
