Family Block Printing Workshop at Pitzhanger
📍 @pitzhanger | Wednesday 18 February 2026
Families are invited to get creative together at Pitzhanger Manor & Gallery this half term with a colourful block-printing workshop led by artist Neera Desai of @neerscreenprints. Inspired by Howard Hodgkin’s love of nature, pattern and travel, the session introduces families to block-printing techniques using shape, colour and texture.
Taking place at the Rickyard in Walpole Park, children and adults will work side by side to experiment, print and create artworks to take home. No prior experience is needed and all materials are provided, making this an accessible and engaging activity for all ages.
Zoolab Animal Encounter at Osterley Park
📍 @osterleynt | Wednesday 18 February 2026
For animal-loving children, Osterley Park is hosting a special Zoolab encounter where families can meet giant snails, spiders and snakes up close. Designed for children aged three and over, this 40-minute session offers a hands-on introduction to fascinating creatures, guided by expert handlers.
Taking place in the parkland area at the Stables, the session is both fun and educational, giving children the chance to learn about animals they might not usually encounter.
Family Tour of the Ealing Beaver Project
📍 @ealingbeaverproject | Paradise Fields, Greenford
This guided family walk offers a unique chance to learn about the Ealing Beaver Project and the remarkable impact beavers are having on local biodiversity. Aimed at families with children, the tour explores the site at Paradise Fields, highlighting dams, feeding areas and the ecological changes created since the beavers’ release in 2023.
While sightings of the beavers themselves can’t be guaranteed, visitors will discover plenty of evidence of their activity and take part in a creative wildlife etching activity inspired by the animals and habitats found on site.

📍 @horsendenhillactivitycentre | Throughout Half Term
For a high-energy, weather-proof option, Horsenden Hill Activity Centre’s Indoor Inflatable Land is running throughout the school holidays. Children can bounce, climb and play in a safe indoor environment while parents relax nearby.
With Italian stone-baked pizza available in the on-site restaurant and bar, it’s an easy way to turn an active session into a relaxed family outing.
