World Pasta Day - 25th October: Celebrating My Love of Pasta
There’s something wonderfully comforting about a bowl of pasta. Versatile, warming and wholesome, it’s one of my favourite dishes — a timeless food that brings people together, celebrates simple ingredients and offers endless possibilities for flavour and creativity.
From traditional Italian recipes passed down through generations to contemporary interpretations inspired by seasonal ingredients, pasta has a special place in the world of food. Whether served with a rich, slow-cooked sauce, fresh herbs and Parmesan, or a simple drizzle of good olive oil, its beauty lies in its versatility and its ability to turn everyday dining into something special.
To celebrate World Pasta Day on 25th October, I’m shining a spotlight on three restaurants that share a passion for Italian-inspired food, quality ingredients and the pleasure of welcoming people around the table.
Pasta Remoli - Authentic Roman-Inspired Pasta
Address: 6 Dickens Yard, Longfield Avenue, London W5 2TD (Ealing Broadway)

Founded by Simone and his wife Francesca, Pasta Remoli brings the spirit of traditional Roman cooking to London. Inspired by Simone’s early experiences of his mother’s cooking and his professional training in Rome, the family-run business was established in 2011 with a simple ambition: to serve authentic, homemade pasta in an accessible and welcoming setting.
With a focus on fresh ingredients, handmade pasta and carefully prepared sauces, Pasta Remoli celebrates the flavours and traditions that make Italian cuisine so enduringly popular. It’s a lovely reminder that great pasta begins with quality ingredients, time-honoured techniques and a genuine passion for food.

Celebrating the Simple Pleasure of Pasta
What makes pasta so special is its ability to be both wonderfully simple and endlessly inventive. It can be comforting and familiar, yet exciting enough to inspire new flavours, ingredients and combinations. Beyond the dish itself, pasta represents something I particularly love about food: its power to connect people, cultures and traditions.
This World Pasta Day, I’m celebrating the restaurants and passionate people who keep those traditions alive while bringing their own creativity to the table.
Whether it’s a classic Roman carbonara, a rich ragù or a seasonal creation with fresh ingredients, there’s always another pasta dish to discover.
Because sometimes, happiness really is a bowl of pasta. 🍝
